"Investing in Your Potential"

Jo Kling graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport with her BS in Education followed by an MA in Education under a Fellowship granted her from her alma mater. She taught in upstate New York until moving to the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Jim.

Since pioneering a Deaf Ministry in 1975 in Tacoma, Washington, Jo has dedicated her life to the Deaf Culture. She has written curriculum for and taught children, encouraged Deaf Youth and held chapel services for Deaf adults. Currently she is the Director of Deaf Ministries at Champions Centre. As an accomplished interpreter and international "speaker", the doors have opened for Jo to walk along side of members of the Deaf Culture on a global scale. Her networking skills have contributed to strengthening the leadership in this silent population.

As a graduate of Fuller (Pasadena) with her MA in Intercultural Studies, Jo has been able to pursue her passion to equip leaders on the local, national and international levels. She served on staff at Champions Centre as the Academic Director of Wisdom for Life Leadership School in Tacoma, Washington until February of 2011. She remains an active member of the faculty.

Her enthusiasm for speaking potential into others is evident in every aspect of her life. Frequently you will hear her talk about "positioning" and the navigational strategies we need to successfully pursue our God-given destiny.

She believes there is a direct correlation between our freedom to pursue our purpose while releasing others to do the same and the integrity of our relationships, both vertical and horizontal. Her encounter with deep level healing was more than an eye opening experience. It has been a life-changing event that put her back on course toward being a vital vessel used to encourage people to return to "True North". Patterns of habitual prayer have marked her as a woman who engages in simple, on-going dialogue with God based on a personal relationship as opposed to an obligation based on religion.

Jo is currently the Director of Education for Champions Foundation , a non-profit located in Tacoma, Washington. Among the many initiatives of this organization my strongest concern is fighting for freedom for those exploited by Human Trafficking.
