I am just very happy that I have been around for the past 50 years to have the opportunity to report on it!

After VCS graduation and a run at MCC, I joined the US Army for a three-year journey and was assigned to Vietnam where I voluntarily stayed for a total of three tours (24 months)  after which I quickly exited the Military and moved back to Victor. During those three years I also had a week of vacation from Vietnam in each Tokyo, Sydney and Honolulu.  After the Army, and while  attending (and Graduating) FLCC, I got a part-time job at Canandaigua Wine Co. which developed and grew into a 44+ year career at Constellation Brands. While The Company morphed from a small winery on Buffalo Street to the largest in the world I was able to enjoy the progression from Dispatcher to Director. I travelled extensively within the U.S. as Director of Transportation Management, primarily in CA, KY, FL, TX and IL and attended several Transportation Industry Classes, Seminars, etc as continuing education. I was thankful to be given the Rochester Transportation Council's Transportation Executive of the year award in 2012.

I married my soul mate Melanie Woodard in 1970 and we were blessed with a Son, a Daughter and 5 Grandchildren. Since 'the kids'  live in Vail Co and Reston VA, we are doing some traveling in order to take in the larger family experience. Thankfully, we all get together once a year.

Aside from traveling to be with family, I have also travelled several miles over the past 30 years on a Harley Davidson motorcycle..including NY, PA, DE, FL (Daytona Beach) The Trace Natchez Trail from TN to MS, and a number of off-interstate roads in South Dakota (Rally in the Black Hills), and Montana.

My home address other than my trip to Southeast Asia, has included a short stop in Manchester, Phelps, and Hopewell.

We have lived in the City of Canandaigua for the past 31 years.

While in Hopewell I was active at the Fire Department as Truck Captain, and Co-Captain Water Drill Team. After moving into Canandaigua, I joined the Lions Club and have been a member for 30 years, currently serving as Club President and Chariman for Veterans Support Committee. I am also a member of the Canandaigua American Legion, as well as some other Veterans organizations including  the Vietnam Veterans of Rochester.

My 50 Years: I worked at one civilian company, been married to one woman, and had residence in one county but there has been a lifetime of challenges and changes within that track to keep it very interesting…It's been a blast !
