50 years in a thimble
After graduation, worked a summer job to pay tuition at MCC. After spinning my wheels for a year, joined the United States Air Force (1966-70). Attained the rank of E4 and was a crew chief on a F-4 Phantom fighter jet. One year tour of duty in Thailand. In the spring of '72 bought a round trip ticket to Luxembourg and hitched around Europe for almost a year. Now there's an education!
Back to the states – a rolling stone gathers no moss – ended up in Boulder, CO, where I knew some friends and where I eventually met my future x-wife Circa. 1981 we moved to her home state of South Dakota where I worked, went to a two-year Technical School for culinary arts and had both of our children, Benjamin and Sienna in Sioux Falls.
Moved back to Boulder (curse of Chief Niwot) after graduation, worked as a chief/cook at the University of Colorado for nearly 20 years, which I should have received a gold medal for, not a gold watch!
Retired from CU at 55 and spend my time with my kids – no grandkids yet – and my hobbies are listening to music on my 1960's Motorola tube stereo console, fishing, hunting, gold prospecting, motorcycle ridding, gardening, shooting my air guns, and playing my guitar.
There's a rounded version of it.
