Subject: Bio after high school graduation

I have had pretty enjoyable career after graduation. I will admit, I should have studied a little more Geography at Victor Central. After graduation I attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where I received a BS in Aeronautical Science and from there I graduated from Central Michigan University with a MS in Business Administration. Next, I completed USAF Pilot Training and Command & Staff School. The last school which I attended was at General Electric's school of management's course in leadership & supervision.

My career in aviation expanded after pilot training in the USAF. I flew C141 jet transport for 23 years in the USAF and USAF Reserve. I flew 35 combat missions in Vietnam. After Vietnam I flew as a test pilot for 1 year in the C130 & C141. I was a simulator instructor, training C141 flight crews for 2 years. I also flew the C141 in the Israeli and Zaire Wars. I flew Presidential support missions, which were interesting, and many medical aero evacuation missions out of Vietnam. Also, I believe I flew the last cargo mission from Vietnam, not a friendly place at the time.

After the USAF, I was hired by General Electric Co as a corporate pilot and completed 33 years with GE when I retired. I flew the chairmen, board of directors and the vice chairmen. We were one of the first companies to fly into Russia and China on a regular bases. I flew into Moscow with our engineers to help the Russians contain the melt down of their nuclear power plant. During my career in aviation I flew approximately 17000 hours in jet aircraft. I flew supersonic 4 times and I have 2000 hours flying a simulator. In September I will have flown 50 years of accident free flying. I have flown 46 years as an international pilot of which 36 years as an international training pilot.

Jeanne and I will be married for 40 years this year and we have two sons, Lee and Russ. Today I am retired from the USAF Reserve and GE on a little Hobby Farm operating my 1957 John Deere tractor. Jeanne and I are living outside Charleston, SC and I am back farming like I did when I was in the Class of 1965 at Victor Central.

I hope see everyone at the Class Reunion.
